Resource-conserving action as a driving force
As an industry specialist in thermoforming and rotational molding, it is our responsibility to play an active role in shaping the future of our industry. We would like to emphasize the importance of the conscious use of raw materials in our sector and present measures that we at Grütter Kunststoff + Formen AG are taking to promote sustainable practices.
Switch to recycled materials
Optimization of production processes
Partnerships for plastic alternatives
We are firmly convinced that conserving resources is the key to the future viability of our industry. By integrating sustainable practices into our business processes and developing innovative solutions, we strive for a future in which we are not only successful, but also make a positive contribution to the environment.
Switch to recycled materials
We recognize the urgency of reducing plastic waste and are committed to using recycled materials in our manufacturing processes wherever possible. By integrating recycled plastics into our production, we help to reduce our environmental impact and contribute to the circular economy. The recycling of old plastic parts is one of the greatest opportunities for the plastics industry to make a significant contribution to decarbonization. Plastics that have already been produced should not be incinerated, but recycled wherever possible and returned to the product cycle.
Optimization of production processes
We continuously focus on improving the efficiency of our production facilities in order to save energy and reduce waste. By implementing state-of-the-art technologies and process optimization methods, we strive for production that makes both ecological and economic sense. When designing new products, we attach great importance to environmentally friendly materials and resource-saving construction methods. We work closely with our customers to develop sustainable solutions that meet quality and functionality requirements without harming the environment.
Partnerships for plastic alternatives
The production of new plastic still largely requires crude oil, although it is also possible to produce plastic from cellulose or starch. We are actively involved in cooperations and partnerships with other companies and organizations in order to work together on ecologically compatible solutions for the plastics industry. With #tide ocean material®, we are working to manufacture products from 100% ocean-bound plastic. Solutions made from bio-based plastic, e.g. from sugar cane, absorb CO2 from the air as they grow and thus reduce the greenhouse effect. Through the targeted exchange of knowledge and resources, we are striving for a holistic transformation of our industry towards a high level of environmental sustainability.
