We want to conduct business activities in a way that protects the environment, health and safety of our employees, partner companies, customers and the public. We are therefore actively committed to issues such as recycling, heat recovery and energy generation using solar systems.
Heat recovery
Heat recovery from our production facilities is an obvious and sustainable way for us to heat the entire building with the waste heat and thus use the energy consumed as efficiently as possible. A large water tank is heated by means of a heat exchanger so that the energy consumed can be stored in the best possible way and can be called up when it is needed.
Recycling and reuse
For us, recycling not only means reusing our production waste, but also reusing high-quality recycled raw materials with documented properties for our customers.
In this context, we are also testing the materials from #tide ocean material, which collects plastic waste from the world’s oceans and turns it into reusable recycled plastics. We have already achieved very good results with OBP (Ocean Bound Plastic) and will try to implement as many projects as possible with it in the future.
We use solar energy
Solar systems are part of a sustainable energy solution. That’s why we have installed one of the largest photovoltaic systems in Hombrechtikon. Since 2021, we have been producing energy for our own needs on an area of over 600m2. In the event of overproduction, we feed the electricity into the public grid.
